New
York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels brings you a new small-town,
brother’s best friend romance.
In one second, my life disappeared.
My past. My memories. My future.
The only certainty I have from the last three years is that my older brother is
dead, and I am the only eyewitness.
In order to protect the case, the lawyers demand that no one give me any
information about my life... I must remember on my own. My only help comes from
my brother’s best friend and world-renowned investigative reporter, Spencer
Cross.
He has no idea how many nights I’ve spent dreaming of his name—and his
body—next to mine.
Now we’re a team and our goal is to recover my memories and retrace my past.
But each day we spend together, he’s looking at me as more than his friend’s
little sister and I find it harder to want my old life back. Instead I’m
wishing for a new one–with him. His kiss feels like home. His arms make me feel
safe, and I never want this to end.
As my memories return, forcing me to face my future, everything falls apart...
especially when I find an engagement ring hidden in my apartment. I have no
idea who gave it to me, or what it means about my past.
I may have asked Spencer to help me remember, but now I wish I could forget.

This story will get you right in the feels from the very first page. Author
Corinne Michaels has another winner with this one, not only is it
heartbreakingly good, but it is also filled with suspense. And Brielle has to
get back her memories of the last three years to solve her brother's murder.
There is so much going on that my heart broke for Brielle each time she tried
to remember and couldn't. I don't think I could be as strong as she was if I
lost my memories. Finding out she is engaged but can't remember who was almost
as bad as who killed her brother. There are so many directions in this story
that you think you know who done it but then you are hit with another surprise.
As with stories from this author, you better have plenty of Kleenex handy
because you will need them. This story is a love story with a suspenseful
aspect that has to be solved to get the couple to their happily ever after. It
will break your heart one minute and have you laughing the next. I think this
might be my favorite from this author so far and I cannot wait for the next
book. Bring on Bennett and Blakely, I need their story now.

Brielle wakes up to a loss that most can't imagine. The last three years of her
life have been erased. With a case against her assailant pending, nobody is
willing to mess the case up, so nobody is telling Brielle what she wants to
know.
Most importantly, Brielle is now the sole person who can identify her brother's
killer. She is desperate to help and regain her memories, but with each
question asked, Brielle feels like it only leaves more questions.
Friends and family surround Brielle, but no more than her brothers' best
friends. Spencer was someone Brielle could always count on and it's his job to
investigate, so Brielle asks for Spencer's help in figuring out her memories.
When Brielle starts to regain her memories, can she trust them? Is what she
remembering real? With those questions in the air, Brielle has to take a step
back and look deep in her heart instead of her injured brain. Can she figure it
out in time?
Love is lost, love is gained, and you'll be reaching for the Kleenex with this
book. Michaels does a fantastic job sucking you in and drawing the story in a
manner that keeps you guessing and asking the questions. I can't wait to see
what's in store for the next book.
