In
need of work and a change of scenery, Aussie ex-pat Jayden Turner agrees to a
short-term chef position at a Bed and Breakfast over the Christmas holidays.
After all, how hard could it be in a small town in the mountains of Montana?
What he finds is a grand old house in a beautiful town, and his new boss is
gorgeous, gay, and single.
After his divorce, Carter “Cass” Campion bought his great-aunt’s rundown
country manor in his hometown, and he’s determined to get it ready for the busy
holiday period. Recently out as gay, he’s been focused solely on his business
and hasn’t had time for a man. Not that many gay men come through Hartbridge...
As his new clients arrive, and being away from his two kids, celebrating
Christmas is the last thing on Cass’s mind. But his new chef has other ideas.
And if there’s one thing on his Christmas Wish List this year, Jayden can make
it come true.

You don't need to read the first book in the series to enjoy this book, but
previous characters do show up in this book. Cass and Jayden are just
amazeballs together. Instant attraction but they used restraint due to their
working relationship. This is a Hallmark and Lifetime movie all in one. Sweet,
wholesome, loving, and just a feel-good movie. Cass is so innocent and sweet
and scared. Jayden is just wanting something and doesn't want to get his hopes
up. This is a great Christmas story with lots of feels.

I loved this just as much as I did the first book in the series last year, and
was so happy that we met up with Hamish and Ren again too!
This time, Aussie ex-pat Jayden finds himself taking on a cheffing role over
the Christmas holidays in Hartbridge. He is not sure where he is going to work
next, but this is a good stopgap. Well, it turns out, he finds himself helping
Cass finish off the B&B ready for its first guests as well as doing the
cooking, and, just maybe, falling in love!
There are so many lovely little touches and quirks which endear us to both men,
and bring them to life. As a complete match to Cass with his wonderful lists,
but constantly changing priority brain, I loved how Jayden unpicked the issue
and worked hard to keep the momentum going. It made what could have been boring
tasks as they got to know each other incredibly amusing and engaging.
I love romantic stories about chefs, about Christmas. and about snow – so when
you add in a lovely family dynamic, the reconnection with the guys from last
year's story, and all the quaintness of Hartbridge, I loved this book!

This is the second book in N.R. Walker’s Hartbridge Christmas series and we see
another Aussie come to the small town. This time it is Aussie Chef Jayden. He
is hired by Cass to work at his B&B for its opening over Christmas.
Hartbridge is a picturesque town, and I was happy to get to be there again.
Jayden and Cass hit it off pretty quickly. Their mutual attraction is clear. I
loved their flirting and conversations and how they respected each other. When
Jayden arrives, he sees that Cass has renovated his property almost entirely on
his own but a few jobs remain to be completed. Jayden steps in to help Cass and
it was so cute seeing them work together. They were like two peas in a pod.
Over the course of the week Jayden spends with Cass there are lots of little
delightful moments and the men have lovely people around them. And while I am
getting all gushy about the romance of the story, it does have a dash of spice
and it is just the right amount. Like everything about this story, the author
got it just right, even though you could see where the story was headed and knew
what was coming, it was still fabulous.
I adored a Christmas Wish List. For me, it is a perfect Christmas story.
I loved sitting by the lights of my Christmas tree reading such a lovely and
sweet romance.

Christmas Wish List is the second book in the Hartbridge Christmas
series. It can be read as a complete standalone, but to completely enjoy the
glimpses of past characters it is better to read in the order that the author
intended.
Carter "Cass" Campion moved back into town after coming out as gay,
divorcing his wife, and purchasing his aunt's manor to turn into a bed and
breakfast. He threw himself into the restoration to avoid the guilt and pain of
hurting everyone when he came out. He wasn't living at this point, he's just
surviving until he hires a handsome chef to help him during Christmas with the
grand opening.
Jayden Turner was in need of a new start after leaving his last job. He thought
finding this temporary job would be perfect until he found somewhere to go.
Jayden wasn't expecting to find out his boss is a newly out handsome man. The
sparks fly as Jayden helps Cass give up the guilt he feels and be who he was
meant to be.
This perfect little town is overflowing with Christmas cheer and provides a picture-perfect
backdrop for this sweet, unrushed love story. The banter between Jayden and
Cass is perfect while you see them fall deep for each other. Definitely a cozy
holiday read.

WALKER is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves
writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other
way.
She is many things: a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty,
pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she
gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things... but likes it even more when
they fall in love.
She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one
day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
She’s been writing ever since...
