Nila Weaver, who was taken to uphold the debt owed to the Hawk family, is finally finding herself. Taken from the life she knew she never realized the “life” she was denied. She didn't realize what freedom was. She didn't realize what she wanted and/or needed...
Jethro, whom I despised in the 1st book, is unraveling – piece by piece. His true nature and the “Hawk” persona he is forced to show are now at war with one another – and it's sexy, intimidating, and just awesome to watch this unfold.
More characters are woven into the tapestry of this story, but we're still in the dark as to what their true purpose is.
I have to mention there were a few moments in the story when my emotions completely matched Nila's...the heartbreak, the elation, the deceptions – leaving me in a whirlwind and reminding myself “this is just a book!” The darkness just keeps coming. As soon as I feel I'm starting to understand things, I'm completely thrown for a loop with more questions! The end of this installment just has me reeling...
I feel that these books are just getting better as the story progresses, and I can't get this story out of my head. I'll just have to quietly, serenely, wait for the next installment.

Holy crap on a cracker! Each book gets better and better! I read this in one sitting, I couldn’t stop. I had to see what was coming next. Debt one was already paid, now we are on debt two and holy smokes! The things we find out in this book are good and then we are left wondering about others. Man, I really can’t wait to find out about that one thing….ugh, I can’t even say what it is related to because I don’t want to give anything way! The relationship between Nila and Jethro is amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens with the third debt.
