Timothy by Bailey Bradford

Tim Trujillo is about to learn a whole lot more than a few facts about his heritage as a snow leopard shifter.

All Dr. Tim Trujillo had in mind when he took the position with the Snow Leopard Conservation Programme in Mongolia was to see if he could learn anything about his heritage. Snow leopard shifters sure weren't native to Colorado, his home state, and though his family was learning more about shifters in general as various cousins found their mates, Tim wanted to know more about where his kind came from, and what made them the way they were.

He hadn't counted on destiny intervening in the form of one very fine snow leopard shifter. Otto Marquat is a native to the Land of the Blue Sky, as Mongolia was sometimes called. But there in a country so far from his own, Tim finds more than his heritage. He finds adventure, cruelty, friendship, pain—and love so strong and unbreakable it will turn his world inside out.

Tim and Otto are a great couple. You have the big guy, Otto, who instantly knows why he's attracted to the smell of a stranger that he sees on the street.

Tim is more academic looking and has always felt a little off kilter – he is small for his family and knows it. He has come East to find out if he can uncover more about his heritage. What he didn't expect was to find his mate.

I really enjoyed these two. I thought that they tore the sheets up, but it wasn't overly done. Also, the way that they worked together, built each other up, and protected everyone around them that they cared about was great.

I hope that Otto and Tim's friends get the next book, as I think it would be super funny.

Oscar by Bailey Bradford

One sexy wolf is determined to show a grouchy kitty just how perfect they are for each other.

Oscar Travis has always been different, and not just because he’s a snow leopard shifter. Petite and pretty in a family where even the women are bigger and stronger than he is, Oscar has been protected by them—except for the times when no one could keep him safe. When he had to take another shifter’s life to protect his own family, Oscar’s world became a scarier place, at least in his head, not that he’s going to let his family know that. He will, however, help his dad Henry hunt down the cougar shifter who is trying to destroy one of Oscar’s own, his brother-in-law, Lyndon.

Which is why Oscar finds himself in San Antonio. Curiosity—always Oscar’s potential downfall—is the reason he’s in one of the city’s biggest gay nightclubs. And it’s his bad luck that he is cornered by four obnoxious shifters who are out to ruin his night. Josiah Baker has other plans for Oscar, plans of mates and forever, but once he makes sure his kitten is safe, he’s ditched like a bad memory. Good thing he’s a shifter too, and a determined one who doesn’t shy away from Oscar’s attitude. He sees the hurting man behind the pretty façade, and no one is going to keep him and Oscar from the happy ending they deserve.

This is the second book in this series and it is helpful to have read book #1, as there are several characters and themes that carry over.

Oscar has always considered himself the runt of his family. He's the odd man out and has developed a complex about himself because of those feelings. When he sacrifices a part of his soul in book #1, he has to deal with the fallout and he chooses to deal with it alone.

Josiah is someone that we don't really know much about. We meet him while he's trying to help Oscar, but there is really not a lot of history. Josiah is a shifter too and knows immediately that Oscar is his mate. He didn't realize that he would ever have one, but he'll do anything to see Oscar again.

Josiah and Oscar delve into their relationship and, with the help of their family members, figure out that despite what people preconceive about their relationship, Josiah loves when Oscar takes over and Oscar likes when Josiah can take what is given.

The crazy father of Oscar's brother-in-law is still on the loose and more characters are introduced. More brothers are found and they are funny, if not a little immature. I do hope that we get to see more of these new characters.

There are some exciting scenes in this story but it will probably be the last one I read in the series.

Oscar was my favourite character in the first book but I found him obnoxious and bratty at the start of this one. I’m not sure I’ve ever read a worse case of Little Man’s Syndrome and he irritated me to no end. He grew more likeable later in the story as he settles into his relationship with Josiah but only the ‘fated mate’ thing could explain what Josiah saw in him at the start. Unlike the characters in the first book, we actually see some character development and growth with Oscar, which I enjoyed.

Josiah isn’t a terribly well-developed love interest. As a wolf in a pack who is familiar with the shifter world, he helps move the series forward with the information he brings to Oscar’s family. As a man, I’m not sure we ever learn too much about him.

This story might actually have more graphic violence than the first book. This story continues the story from the first book as Oscar’s family attempts to track down Lyndon’s siblings and his evil father. It isn’t the strongest series plot ever and it is full of slightly tired shifter tropes. There is something about the Travis family that doesn’t work for me. The siblings don’t always read as adults and as grown adults, they are all way too comfortable with each other.

Levi by Bailey Bradford

A run through the woods turned anything but typical when Levi found the one thing he never expected to find-his mate.

After a week spent in family reunion hell, Levi Travis is more than ready for a little break. But who knew shifting into a snow leopard and loping around in the woods could turn into such a steamy event?

When Levi encounters a cougar shifter in the woods, the attraction is so hot it threatens to shoot off sparks. Levi has fantasized about having a stronger man than him want him, and he's sure the cougar is just such a man. Which is why Levi lets himself get caught, and the intensity of their mating is only equaled by Levi's confusion when the man shifts back into a cougar then turns tail and runs.

Lyndon Hines has been running for months. Hunted, taunted, he didn't know what else to do—until he met a man who made him realize that some things were worth fighting for. Two shifters, each a different breed, neither knowing much about their heritage, Levi and Lyndon come together and find the strength to take on the mad man who is out to end Lyndon's life.

Publisher's Note: This book has previously been released by Pride Publishing. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release. This book is best read in sequence, as part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

Lyndon is on the run. He's been running for so long, but he has never had a reason to stay anywhere for long. And with someone hunting him through states, he has to keep moving. Lyndon is a cougar shifter and even though their kind tends to be loners, Lyndon is truly alone in the world. His father threw him out and his mother died, so Lyndon believes that he's alone in the world.

Levi is surrounded by family, almost all of the time. He's a snow leopard shifter and loves his land. His brothers are supportive, his grandmother is the head of their shifter family. When he feels restless, he runs their land.

Lyndon and Levi meet while they are both running. Levi has always had the fantasy that someone will be bigger, stronger than him – will take him without mercy. Lyndon does just that and then... he disappears.

What follows is a tale of who is the hunter and why. I can't wait for book two, because Levi's family is awesome and I really want Oliver to find his happiness.

Sarah – ☆☆☆
This story throws every single popular shifter trope into one short novel. There is insta-attraction between fated mates when leopard shifter Levi first sees cougar shifter Lyndon on his property. Then there’s the super rough sex, which pushes the boundaries between kinky and violent. And don’t forget the extended shifter family’s comfort with nudity, loud sex, and semi-public sexual encounters.

I enjoyed the mystery of Lyndon’s stalker – though the obsession with odours and scat was a little too ‘big cat’ and not quite ‘sexy shifter’ enough for me. I also liked the glimpses we get into Lyndon’s family background. In Levi’s family, only his twinky yet fierce little brother Oscar caught my attention.

The action in the last scene is exciting and the fighting is pretty graphic and gory. This story kept my attention but I’m not sure I’ll be racing out for the next story in the series.
