Emmitt doesn't want a relationship. He likes his life just like it is, able to see whoever he wants when he wants. He doesn't expect his mind to change anytime soon. Until Alayna comes back to town. There was always an attraction to Alayna, but now after her attack, something about the broken, scared woman is pulling him in more.

Alayna was attacked by her ex. She's not the woman she once was, she's broken and scared. With all her past baggage she can't understand why someone would want her. Emmitt is sexy and fun, but Alayna thinks he is way out of her league.

I loved Emmitt and Alayna's story. He is sweet and sexy. All he wants to do is protect Alayna. The brothers are such a fun bunch to read about. I can't wait to see what's next.

Wylie and Whitney first meet at Gunner and Indie's wedding. Sparks fly, but while she expects a call or text, he never comes through. She is upset, she thought there was really something between them. When she moves to Florida, she's back around Wylie, but things have changed. Yes, there are still sparks, but she's mad and not willing to give him a chance. Wylie knows he messed up and is trying his best to make it up to Whitney, but will it be enough?

I really enjoyed Wylie. The connection was there, but it wasn't forced, which was made it easy to read. I would have liked to see Whitney make him work for it more, but the chemistry in those sex scenes was explosive. They are a very humorous, fun family to read.

I can't wait to see what's next for the Stokes.

What was supposed to be the best day of her life turned into the worst for Indie Hughes. Right before the wedding she walks in on her fiancé and a friend having sex. Deciding to start fresh she moves to Florida.

Walking through the grocery store she literally runs into the sexiest man she's ever seen, Gunner Stokes. Knowing she is nowhere ready to even think about a relationship she friend-zones Gunner. Gunner isn't ready for a relationship either given his last relationship betrayal. But there is something about Indie that Gunner can't shake. He isn't ready to give up on her or on them.

Gunner is a sexy character. I really enjoyed him and his family. I like the love story and suspense mix. Overall a good read. Can't wait to see what's next.
