Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆
M/F Friends-to-Lovers

Jackson loves his life. He loves playing hockey and he loves his friends. While his family life is somewhat complicated, Jackson knows that it's time for him to head home and see everyone. But first, he's attending his teammate’s wedding.

Molly is a funny and somewhat nerdy woman who isn't ready to settle for being someone's second choice. When she decides to end her marriage before it begins, she isn't quite sure what will happen. But once it's done, she knows that she needs to get away for a while.

Molly and Jackson have been friends for a while and when Jackson sees that Molly needs a little saving, he's not going to turn his back on her. Molly is grateful for Jackson's hospitality and when she invites herself on his trip, she's even more grateful to meet his family. They are complicated, but they love each other.

During this trip, both Molly and Jackson have to face some real truths about themselves. Jackson faces some hard truths from his past and Molly looks to her uncertain future.

I enjoyed watching these two friends help each other along their journey. They had an easy chemistry and banter that showed years of friendship was behind their attraction. I can't wait to see what more this series will bring!


Mary – ☆☆☆☆
Molly has gotten the worst news of her life and on the night before her wedding, what she does with it is the right thing and now she needs to get away for a while. Who does she turn to but her friend, Jackson Wynn, who just so happens to be her ex-fiancé’s teammate.

Jackson has always had a soft spot for Molly, she is a great person, fun to be around, and the best trivia partner he has ever had. He takes her to his condo for the night, but he is leaving for California the next day so see his family. Molly wants to go with him because she needs to get away and clear her mind. Jackson knows it's a bad idea but lets her tag along. They have fun together, his family likes her, and is he beginning to have feelings for her?

He can't be falling for his teammate's ex, it isn't right. Is Molly feeling the same or is it just a rebound crush? Will they be able to talk about what they are feeling? Can they still be friends? Will there be a chance for a future together?

I really like this series and I liked Molly and Jax too. This is a good story with all the feels and family to keep you interested and reading until the end because you want to know what happens. I hope you give this one a chance and enjoy it too.


Sarah – ☆☆☆☆
This is a fun read full of drama and angst. Molly leaves her fiancé standing at the altar with a devastating public revelation – and then she needs somewhere to hide from the fallout. It’s her trivia partner, Jax, who helps her out – taking her to California to meet his complicated, glamorous family.

This is a true friends-to-lovers romance and I love the friendship between Molly and Jax more than anything in this book. They are good together. They’re fun together. They get each other. Molly helps Jax really see his family and Jax helps Molly find her confidence after the messy break up.

There is a playfulness to the connection between Molly and Jax that I loved. I also kinda love that this is a hockey romance without any hockey. Molly and Jax spend the off season together in Manitoba – far away from real life complications. My only complaint is the conflict and miscommunication at the end of the book that doesn’t really make sense for characters who are so close and so in tune with each other in every other way. It feels contrived and doesn’t really fit the characters.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the fifth book in the series, and I would highly recommend that you read them in order to understand all the family dynamics. That said, Jackson lives on the East coast, and tries to avoid family drama, so you could still enjoy the story without going backwards – although you may choose to once you have read this installment. Though this is a sports romance, for a variety of reasons, in this story we get to see how Jackson's contract negotiations with his NHL team are causing him concern.

There is most definitely a dramatic start to Molly and Jackson's summer, not one that either of them had envisaged. But it makes for a really wonderful opportunity for them both to learn about themselves, and for Jackson in particular, to learn how he could have misjudged things in his family. As his and Molly's relationship takes on a different dimension – no longer just trivia quiz buddies – she helps him see that there may be an alternative side to the story. Now they just need to figure out what that may mean for them.

I really enjoyed this book; it has a really light touch in the friends-to-lovers theme. So light that the two of them never even think to admit their feelings to each other – but certainly everyone around them is clued in far sooner, which is fun. A good addition to the series, thank you.

As part of the Wynn family, hockey is in the blood. Harrison Wynn has a lot more to prove because of his name. He just wants to play hockey. That is, until he sees Arya Ross, the hot yoga instructor. And now he has to prove to her that he is more than just a hockey player.

Arya Ross has something to prove to herself. She has to prove that she can move from her past and date Harrison Wynn. She really likes him, but can she tell him about her past and not lose him? Can Harrison accept her past and they build a relationship together?

This story and the whole series is great. Each book is about another family member and the drama with a family hockey dynasty. Author Kelly Jamieson has a way with hockey men and the women they love, even the Wynn lady's story was great. So if you love a great sports romance, then this series is for you.

I would recommend that you read these in order, as the family dynamics are a medium part of the story.

Harrison knows that he is a great player. But he also knows that because of his family and their affinity for hockey, that he has to play up to his name. With his age creeping higher and his chances to join the ranks of the NHL, Harrison knows that he has to work extra hard. When he has a chat with his coach, he is more determined than ever to show everyone that he has what it takes.

Arya is trying to find her own peace. She has picked up and moved across the country to live with her good friend and start a new chapter in her life. Arya has found immense peace in teaching others to be mindful and present in whatever they choose. Despite her hectic schedule, she loves her yoga classes. When she is presented an opportunity to train a professional sports team, she takes a chance, even though it makes her nervous.

Harrison can't really afford to be distracted by his yoga teacher, but that's exactly his situation. Arya is equally attracted to Harrison, but her past dictates that she needs to ask other people around her about her own judgment. Will these two make the leap together or will their find that their own personal goals get in the way?

These two were fun to watch. They have fun chemistry and despite their reservations, I didn't feel like it was overpowering to their story or message. Their friends and family were just as fun in this book and some of the family drama is being resolved.

Everly Wynn is the only daughter in the hockey dynasty. With a family feud brewing, family health concerns, and a reputation to uphold, Everly is the perfect daughter. Everly has a past secret that she has tried to put behind her, but it's always lingering in her mind.

Wyatt needs someone to ground him. He's constantly surrounded by beautiful women, but those women want things from him. When he pursues Everly, he knows that she doesn't want anything from him. Wyatt also carries immense guilt from his past. He is trying to do the right thing and also warring with his feelings for Everly.

These two are a sweet couple that are just trying to figure out their lives. They want someone to love them and someone to love back, but with their pasts always creeping in to their psyche, they'll have to fight hard for what they want.

I can't wait for more in this series because each couple is so sweet. Jamieson has a way of writing that allows the reader to really connect with the characters.

Everly Wynn is the only daughter of the Wynn family. And she has some issues that stem from when she was a teenager. Since then, she has tried to be perfect but the anxiety from it all seems to be too much at times.

Wyatt Bell is a player for the Condors and he likes the ladies too. When he is near Everly, they seem to spar. Their sparring matches are almost as hot as the heat sizzling between them. But Wyatt isn't the relationship type of guy.

With a potential PR nightmare coming for the foundation that Everly is the chairman of, she and Wyatt pretend to date. But with all the dating, their feelings begin to grow for real.

Can they make a real relationship work? Will Everly be able to tell Wyatt about her past? Can Wyatt tell Everly about who the little boy is and how he is related to him? Can they move pass the pain of the past and make a future together?

I am loving this series and I think Everly and Wyatt are my favorite couple so far. Author Kelly Jamieson has a perfect way of telling a story that will draw you in until the end. I recommend this whole series and can't wait for more.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and whilst each deals with a new pairing, they are all interlinked and you definitely will understand the family dynamics and current issues best if you have read them all. If you like hockey romances, then there is NO reason why you would not want to be devouring them anyway!

This time it is the girl of the family, Everly, who gets her chance at love... although she really would not have chosen to fall for a hockey player in her father's own team! Mind you, when you work as much as she does for the team's charitable foundation, then it was probably inevitable. As we get to learn more about her as a person, and how much she has felt like a second-class member of the family because she is not a hockey player, it is rather sad. Her mental health issues really aren't a surprise given the stresses that she places on herself.

Wyatt has a very different approach to life. And for some reason, the serious, considered Everly sees behind the playboy façade and recognises that there is a connection between them, regardless of the problems which may arise.

I won't reveal more, as you should discover the goodness yourself! But rest assured, it is a really good read!

Sarah – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is such a fun read. Bad boy hockey player JP Wynn finds himself in even more trouble when he hooks up with a bridesmaid at his brother’s wedding. Third generation hockey royalty, JP just can’t seem to do anything right and he’s once again in the doghouse with his famous family. As he tries to fix his reputation, he can’t seem to avoid Taylor, the bridesmaid hook-up. JP is a hot mess, but Taylor brings out the best in him and he soon finds himself wanting more than a hook-up.

I’m really enjoying this series. These books take a fresh approach to hockey romance and the result is a little bit Dallas on Ice – with a good sense of humour. The women in these stories are more interesting than some of Jamieson’s recent characters and the dysfunctional Wynn family is highly entertaining. Like the last book, Taylor brings a good dose of real life to JP’s first world problems. The recent graduate is struggling to live on her own and she can’t find a landlord who allows pets. Her life puts the Wynn family squabbles in perspective. I love the sense of play in this story – despite all his best intentions, JP just seems to invite chaos and catastrophe.

There’s a little more actual hockey in this book than the first one but the focus remains on the characters and the Wynn family. There are a few steamy scenes and great chemistry between Taylor and JP. I’m enjoying watching the relationships between the Wynns and their partners develop across the books and I’m already excited for the next books in the series.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the second book in the series, and I really think that you should read them in order. The Wynn family is big, complicated, and all about hockey! Understanding the family dynamics will help with some of the snark, and the politics!

JP is a good guy who has a quick temper on and off the ice. He made a big mistake when he started seeing his brother's girlfriend, Emma, although she had said they were over at the time. In his head he is still paying for that mistake, even though his brother has now moved on, and in fac,t is marrying Lacey at the beginning of this book. He is now determined to be better, and to keep his temper under control from now on – and as the new season is about to start, that is definitely his plan. He has been training really hard for pre-season and is in a good place mentally. So when everything transpires at the wedding, he just cannot believe it all overturned so quickly.

Taylor behaved out of character at the wedding, but sees something in JP which deep down she thinks might be worth fighting for, more than just amazing chemistry. The road is certainly not smooth, but getting to know him better thanks to him taking in her much loved dog, does give them both an excuse to spend time together. I thought that the side story of her parents and why they split up after so long together was good at pushing the boundaries, and giving her just as much angst as JP in her personal life.

I really enjoyed reading about how JP and Taylor got to know each other, repair the damage to each other's hearts, and come to realise the faults and triggers which needed addressing. We also got to spend plenty of time with other members of the Wynn clan who are ripe for finding their happily ever afters and look forward to more hockey-fueled romance from them. Thank you, Kelly Jamieson, for another excellent installment.


Mary – ☆☆☆☆
We met JP in the first book as he is Theo’s brother and the same one who stole his brother's girlfriend. But to JP's credit, the girlfriend told JP she and Theo were broken up. But JP knew in the back of his mind he should have stayed away from her, but he didn't. So now he is the bad boy Wynn. The hockey family royalty and he is humiliated every time the family gets together.

He is trying to turn his life around but while at his brother's wedding rehearsal, he sees a woman he wants to get closer to and spend some time with.

Taylor knows that JP Wynn is known for his fighting on the ice. She knows he is a bad boy, but she finds him funny, a joy to be around, and very sexy. He invites her up to his room for the night, it is left up to her. But what harm can one hook-up do? She probably won't see him after the wedding anyway.

Neither JP nor Taylor has that kind of luck when they are dancing at the reception and JP is jumped by Taylor's ex. Taylor gets mad and leaves both men bleeding. JP is angry she left because he didn't do anything, and he has to find out why she left but she will not see him.

Taylor doesn't want to date a man with anger issue and that leaves JP out. But she can't help her feelings for him. And after JP offers to keep her dog, she is beginning to see that he might want more with her.

Can Taylor and JP make a relationship work? Will his anger issues be the end before they really begin a relationship? Will his anger continue to control his time on the ice?

I have come to love a great hockey story and the Wynn Hockey series is one I really enjoy. I recommend this series if you love a great story with a bad boy with a big heart. I hope you love it too.


Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆

JP is the brother that we met in book one who doesn’t always make the best decisions. And even though he knew he probably shouldn’t go after his brother’s girlfriend, despite her telling him that she was no longer with said brother, JP did and it almost broke his relationship with his family.

JP is trying to fix his reputation both on and off the ice. He knows that his emotions can get the better of him and he’s trying very hard to work on being less emotional. When he meets Taylor, he knows that she might not be the best choice, but he can’t help his attraction. However, when he’s laid flat out on the floor at his brother’s wedding, JP knows that something is off and Taylor is off limits.

Throughout this book, we see JP change his ability to control the emotions that fly through him both on and off the ice. There is still an underlying issue with his family and the two hockey teams, but JP and his brother have come to a good place.

While this was a sweet story about finding your own way, it wasn’t too mushy in the romance department. Taylor and JP have to decide if their differences and issues can be overcome in order to truly pursue a relationship.

I leap in and submerge myself to hide the wood I’m suddenly sporting. The hot water closes around me. I’m in the opposite corner to Lacey, nowhere near enough to touch her. Except our feet. My toes brush hers when I stretch my legs out.

She leans her head back and closes her eyes. “Oh my God, this is wonderful.”

“It’s pretty nice.”

“I can just feel the tension melting out of me.”

“Yeah. Wait. What tension? We had fun today.”

“Oh, you know. Just normal stuff.”

“Like what?”

She sighs. “I’m still worried about Chris.”

“Have you heard any more from him?”

“I texted him yesterday, and he did reply and said he’s fine. I think he’s mad at me.”

“He has no fucking right to be mad at you.”

One corner of her mouth kicks up. “I know.”

“When we left Vegas, you were pissed at him for trying to pimp you out and disappearing, and you were strong enough to cut him loose to stand on his own two feet.”

“Yeah. But I still worry about him.”

I wade through the water over to crouch in front of her. I take her hands and squeeze them. “You’re being the strong one, you know. You’re doing the right thing.”

“As long as he doesn’t end up dead.”

Ugh. That is a concern. I wish I could fix things for her. “He won’t. And I for one am glad you’re here, and safe.”

She leans forward and plants a kiss on my mouth. My body zooms to attention, going still other than my dick which swells and twitches. It’s a chaste, closed-mouth kiss that lasts a few seconds, then she draws back and says, “Thank you.”

I stare at her, my body tingling, blood rushing hot through my veins. Her expression changes, her eyes darkening, her lips parting. I study that mouth. I want to feel it on mine again. I want to taste her. I want her warm wet curves pressed up against me, especially one part of me that’s throbbing with need.

“Théo...”

I shift closer, sloshing water, to find her waist. I clasp my hands on her and her knees part to let me closer. I’m weirdly weightless in the water. She sets her hands on my shoulders.

“Kiss me again,” I quietly order.

Her eyelids drift down and she leans forward. Our mouths come together in another kiss, this one gentler, our lips clinging, until I open mine on hers, coaxing her to open to me too. I lick inside, tasting her sweetness, swallowing her soft moan.

This is a book more about being yourself than romance. While there is a romance, I really enjoyed watching the put-together Théo take a walk on the wild side with Lacey. She was able to bring out the goofball side of his personality and it was fun to see them have fun.

Lacey is hoping to get out of town when her twin brother puts her in a very dangerous and vulnerable position. Théo just happens to be there to help her with that.

What these two begin is a journey of discovery, friendship, and love. It was a funny story and full of jokes and laughter. I really liked how Lacey was able to get Théo to not take himself so seriously. It's a quick read that leaves you feeling good afterwards. I really want to see books for Taylor and JP, as I think they have very interesting books coming. I can't wait!

This is the first book in a new hockey series and what a beginning it is. This is Théo and Lacey's story and it is fun, caring, lustful, family drama, and full of love.

Théo Wynn is part of the Wynn family and hockey dynasty, he played hockey until an injury took him off the ice for good. Now his grandfather wants him to be general manager of the Los Angeles Condors. While grandpa thinks he can push Théo into being a yes man, Théo will make his own decisions about the team. Before he leaves Vegas, his team takes him out for a goodbye celebration and he meets Lacey. She is their waitress and he is drawn to her.

Lacey Olson isn't having a good life. After her mother died, her twin brother was supposed to help her with the bills and help pay the debts owed. But he is more worried about gambling the money away and winning big than getting paid the honest way by getting a real job.

When things suddenly go wrong and Lacey needs to get out of Vegas, Théo has the perfect plan. She should go to L.A. with Théo until it is safe for her to go back to Vegas. After several drinks, a quick Vegas wedding and they are on their way. Lacey has a way out of town and Théo has a beautiful woman on his arm.

Can Théo and Lacey keep the relationship casual without fall for each other? Will Lacey's problems from Vegas come looking for her in L.A.? Will Théo show his grandfather that he can be a good manager for the Condors?

I love a good sports romance and this one was great, it kept me reading and left me wanting more. I can't wait for the next one. If you are looking for a new hockey series, then this one is it, hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

This is the first book in a new series and has quite a significant amount of world building it in, as the Wynn dynasty is somewhat complicated and definitely fractured! Théo, who is the lead in this story, is learning that his change of employer brings on some unexpected revelations about the family dynamics. I enjoyed this side of the story, but do be ready to get your head around the players in this new series - and then there are the hockey stars!

As we get to meet Théo and Lacey and have knowledge of their whole relationship from evening one, it is useful that we get both their sides of the story. There is really no side to either of them, they are both good people, but wow, their one night of rebellion has a significant outcome. And moving forward is both entertaining and very sweet.

Lacey is a fascinating mix of worldly and yet innocent. She has had to be such a grown up since her mother died, and her brother has really lost it when he sends his debt collectors after her. It really is true that Théo saved her from a terrible fate - but he considers that she too has given him the confidence he needed to face his family, and most especially his brother. It is therefore eminently right that they both help the other's brother to make amends.

The way in which Théo's original career had been cut short is horrible, but I loved his take on hockey, the impact of analysis, and his plans for the draft. It is setting up some very interesting stories as his team uses his systems to improve their chances of a Stanley Cup. Cannot wait!

Any fan of Jamieson would know that there would be a fabulously satisfying ending, but the journey there definitely had some interesting roadblocks. In the end though, we are set up perfectly for some more Wynn romance in the future.
