Bringing Nicky Home by Sean Michael

Can the magic Whip and Nicky found at the Gay Riders’ Carnivale continue when they return to their regular lives?

With the Gay Riders’ Carnivale over, Whip brings Nicky home with him to his converted warehouse condo in Ottawa with the hopes that what they started at the Carnivale will grow into something they can both live with forever.

All is going well, the two of them learning more about each other and playing hard between Whip’s returning to work as an EMT and Nicky finding a job at a coffee shop.

When Nicky’s former master, the abusive Dirk, steps back into Nicky’s life, it threatens their very lives.

Can Whip and Nicky survive both real life and Dirk?

Publisher's Note: This book is a sequel to The Biker’s Pup and contains characters from the first book. It can be read as a standalone story.

This is the third in the series, and you should definitely have read book one as this relates to the same pairing of Whip and Nicky. The Biker's Pup reveals how they meet and how instant their connection is – and now, as they leave Carnivale, they are going to try and make permanent the attraction that they feel.

Whip is happy to share all he has with Nicky, and probably can afford to work and let Nicky stay at home, but given Nicky's past, that isn't going to work. So we see them working through the settling in and setting up of routines and work shifts. Through it all, the thing that grounds them is also that which makes them fly. For sure they have a very healthy sex life, even following a 12-hour shift as an EMT. I may have been both envious and exhausted for them! Of course, the settled atmosphere is disrupted, in this case by Dirk, Nicky's vengeful ex-master.

It was satisfying to get the fuller picture of these two men, especially Nicky, as he was very vulnerable. Whip proves to be the man that any reader would have wished him to be... and he even had a dedicated playroom, which the Carnivale had not revealed.

Best-selling author Sean Michael is a maple leaf–loving Canadian who spends hours hiding out in used book stores. With far more ideas than time, Sean keeps several documents open at all times. From romance to fantasy, paranormal and sci-fi, Sean is limited only by the need for sleep—and the periodic Beaver Tail.

Sean fantasizes about one day retiring on a secluded island populated entirely by horseshoe crabs after inventing a brain-to-computer dictation system. Until then, Sean will continue to write the old-fashioned way.

The Biker's Dom by Sean Michael

Trig isn’t looking for something special when he comes to the Gay Riders’ Carnival this year, but it just might have come looking for him.

It’s Trig’s fourth year at the Gay Riders’ Carnival and this year he’s not sure if he’s looking for more than a few nights of camping, checking out the booths and listening to the music. He’s been dumped a lot in the last year and is looking more to lick his wounds and just relax.

It’s the first time at the Carnival for Tarzan and he doesn’t know exactly what to expect. When he lays eyes on Trig, though, he knows what he wants. Trig claims he’s not a bottom, but he’s tripping all of Tarzan’s instincts.

Can these two men find a middle ground, or will their attraction last only as long as the Carnival itself?

Publisher's Note: This book is the sequel to The Biker's Pup by Sean Michael. It is best read in sequence but can be read as a standalone.

3.5 Stars
Trig is a biker and a Dom. All of his relationships keep crashing and burning, he can't seem to understand why. When he shows up at the annual Gay Riders' Carnival he isn't looking for a hook up, he's going to take his time before he finds his next relationship, that is until he meets Tarzan, another Dom.

This is Tarzan's first time at the Carnival, he's excited to see what it is all about. When he sees Trig he is definitely interested. The only problem is Trig isn't a bottom...or is he?

Quick sexy power-exchange read. Sean Michael is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I haven't had a bad read with his name on it.

This is definitely a hot, hot book – so make sure you are somewhere that doesn't matter! Not suitable for reading on the train, or on your lunch break in the staff restaurant I would say! It is a snapshot taken at the Annual Gay Bikers Carnival, where two big guys have an instant attraction and act on it. Tarzan takes Trig on a voyage of sexual awakening, revealing to him just who he is meant to be. I would love a follow up, as they certainly heat up the pages, but also because the changing dynamic for Trig would be interesting.

Now for an ice cold drink...

Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organising his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and pursuing the kama sutra by channelling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago".

A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.

Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.

The Biker's Pup by Sean Michael

Whip came to the Gay Riders Carnival fundraiser weekend looking for a good time, but what he found was infinitely better.

Whip always has a good time at the Gay Riders Carnival, and this year he’s hoping to meet up with some studs and top last year’s festivities. The last thing he expects when he walks into his cabin is to be nearly bowled over by a skinny lad with a bruised jaw.

Nick came to the Carnival with his so-called Master Dirk, but instead of having a good time, things moved quickly from bad to worse and Dirk responded to his safeword with a punch. Running away and hiding was Nick’s only option.

Broke, alone and not entirely sure how he’s going to get home, Nick thinks Whip is a dream come to life and he’s just waiting for the other shoe to drop. For his part, Whip is drawn to the sweet pup and falls hard for Nick over the course of the long weekend.

But what’s going to happen when the weekend is over?

Publisher's Note: This book is the prequel to The Biker's Dom by Sean Michael. It is best read in sequence but can be read as a standalone.

The Biker's Pup is set at the Gay Riders Carnival. A weekend that gives a place for gay bikers to get together and just be, without hiding who they are. Whip always has a good time at the carnival. He looks forward to the hook-ups he may have there. When he gets to his cabin he's surprised to find someone already in it.

Nick was abused by his Master. Nick used his safeword to stop Dirk from pounding a nail into his penis, for that Nick was punched in the face. With ten dollars in his pocket, he had nothing but the clothes on his back and nowhere to go. When Whip finds him in the cabin, he's drawn to Nick and vows to protect him.

The Biker's Pup was a fast paced sexy novella. It's a fun quick read.

This is a very enjoyable read. I have already read the second in the series – The Biker's Dom, and liked going back and seeing Trig at a previous carnival. I recommend you read them both.

Nick has left his 'Dom' in a hurry when he faces abuse, and has the good fortune to hide out in Whip's cabin. The attraction is instant and they click in all the right ways – but both wonder whether this is just for now, but want it to be for longer. Whilst it is a short story, there is enough building of a firm foundation, and enough details for us to feel that Nick is safe, and Whip is a good guy. Hot, cute and horny meets hot demanding Dom for plenty of steamy fun.
