Avid Reader – ☆☆☆
M/F Novella

This is a quick read that is very true to the blurb.

Liam is part of a trio of brothers who own and do their own construction. When he sets his sight on the pretty Andra, all bets are off. Despite their tension, Liam isn't great with his words – it's quite repetitive in this story. But he knows what he wants and goes after it.

Andra is a city girl through and through. However, when her office location moves, she jumps in with both feet – even though she's incredibly attracted to Liam. She dances around her attraction for a while before Liam makes her confront their attraction.

Steamy scenes and a lot of tension lace this story. Despite the lack of witty dialogue, this is a nice, short novella.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆
This is the third in the series, and feels like we had plenty of foreshadowing of the inevitable romance that is written here. These short stories are all about insta-attraction, complete honesty about the depth and breadth of their feelings, and hotness from the get go. Sometimes that is exactly what you need!

Here we finally get longtime celibate brother, Liam making a move on recently arrived resident, Andra. They have been striking sparks off each other for a while, but once they get together, it’s a whirlwind romance and off-the-scales hotness.

Written in a very relaxed and chatty style, these stories have all been a lot of fun with streams of consciousness – often said out loud, when probably better kept as inner voice! I’ve enjoyed them all.

Johnny has always been a big guy. He's known as Big Johnny. He's rugged and handsome and works with his hands. Despite women always throwing themselves at him, he has always carried a torch for Flora.

Flora is a few years younger than Johnny but knew right away that she wanted to be his. Even though she had aspirations of going to college, she didn't date much and knew she wanted to come back and see if she and Johnny could have a relationship.

These two together have some great chemistry. It was also a sweet touch, despite not being incredibly realistic, that both were virgins when they finally get together. It gives the story a sentiment that is sweet and loving all wrapped together.

I hope more brothers are coming!


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the second book in the trilogy of Ash Brothers. If you have read Hard Wood, you will know a little about the pairing in this book – but you could enjoy it as a standalone too.

The story starts when Flora is just 18 and about to go away to college. We learn that both she and Johnny have eyes only for each other... but it takes a while for them to take the chance. Very endearingly, they have both waited for their first to be with each other.

Fast forward to now – which is a very wise plot device in a short story! – and we get to see them finally take the plunge (pun intended) and it is very sweet, hot, and meant to be. I like that we get a strong hint at how the next book is going to progress too.

I am really enjoying these Dirty Bits books – they deliver a hot, sexy story in a pared down and chemistry- laden short story – perfect for an evening's reading, without staying up all night!

This is also the first in a series, and we meet all three brothers and get a hint of who is going to fall next. Noah was the most recalcitrant, so the perfect man to fall first. He is so smitten that he is quite happy to admit it – but he does also have some wicked fun, when he knows that Mia is secretly watching him! Oh naughty bits abound in this cheeky, hot, and happy story.

Looking forward to seeing the other two Ash boys find their way with wood and a partner!
