Beau Montgomery loves working on the ranch. He also loves working with his twin brother. But when an opportunity presents itself to his twin, Beau has to deal with a lifelong issue... his dyslexia.

Alice loves her small town. She enjoys her book club, loves helping people, and even though she might dream of something larger, she can’t help but not truly want to leave her home.

When Beau and Alice both need something, they’ll find that they can rely on each other. What follows is a very cute, almost young adult romance.

These two will learn about themselves, each other, and how much their hearts can grow. Beau with his strong, steady demeanor and Alice with her knowledge and non-stop nervous chatter. She’s adorable.

I can’t wait to see what happens next with these characters. I really enjoyed reading this quick cowboy story.

Claire loves living in her town. She knows everyone and everyone knows her family. She has great friends and knows that if she ever needed anything, she could call any of them to help her out. While she grew up on a cattle ranch, she has to admit that she doesn't know much about the business side of things.

Ford knows that coming back to Rancho Canada Verde isn't a good idea, but he can't seem to stay away. He knows that he hurt Claire the last time he was around and that he shouldn't go anywhere near her. But now that he's here, he can't seem to think of anything else.

Claire and Ford have to figure out whether or not they can be civil, because Claire has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. When she finds out some troubling news about her ranch, she knows that she'll need Ford's help to figure it out. While they figure out their issues, their old feelings resurface. But with their past, Claire isn't sure what to do and Ford believes he'll never settle down.

The big question is whether or not Ford can overcome his fear and if Claire can truly trust her feelings. For the most part, I found that their romance was somewhat stilted. It was a lot of old feelings, without new insight. Also, I think this book could have been shorter. There was a lot going on, and while I enjoyed the story, it felt a little drawn out for me.

Travis is just getting back from being in the Army when he's hit with a double whammy. His family estate is in disrepair and his sister-in-law just passed away and now he has to care for his nephew. Travis doesn't really know anything about raising kids. His experience with family is a less than stellar example. Also, his nephew's dad is in prison and to make matters even worse, he needs his incarcerated brother's signature to even think about selling the family farm.

When he starts doing odd jobs around town, he has no idea that he's stepping on toes. But oh, what pretty toes he's stepping on. Maggie is the local landscape architect and when she sees Travis again, she can't help but be attracted to him.

With some miscommunication, some crazy cows, and a community that can't help but interfere, these two will have a crazy ride. While the story was well developed, it was long winded at times. There were a few back stories inside, but there were parts where I just wanted the story to move forward. Overall, this is a sweet story and the characters do figure themselves out. I really do hope that some of the other characters get their own stories, as they were hilarious and a huge part of Travis and Maggie's success.
