Wait for It by M. O'Keefe

In a blistering novel of raw emotion and desire, a tormented woman teaches an alpha male that money can’t fix everything... but love can.

Tiffany: After fighting for a new life, I don’t want to play the victim anymore. However, with three kids to raise, I’m getting desperate enough to make a deal with the devil. My estranged brother-in-law, Blake, says he just wants to help, but he’s been trouble since I met him. I don’t know if I can believe this kinder, gentler Blake, and there’s a friction between us that has turned into the sweetest chemistry. He could be my salvation... or my downfall.

Blake: I haven’t always had Tiffany’s best interests at heart but I’m ready to make up for my sins. Besides, I can’t help admiring her: The girl’s a genuine survivor, tough and lean, with eyes of steel. But the more I get to know Tiffany, the more I want her. Every inch of her. Which means I’m about to make a bad situation a hell of a lot worse.

Kris – ☆☆☆☆
I have read books 1-3 already in this series and I’ve really enjoyed them all! This installment is about Tiffany from the trailer park. The woman with three kids and a husband that is never around. When he is, she’s wishing he wasn’t. Abusive and drunk, her husband, Phil, uses Tiffany as a punching bag and the kids as weapons to keep her down and out. She’s alone and isolated from her family and friends, no car, no money, no way out. Blake is Phil’s brother, he’s spent his entire life cleaning up after his drunken jerk of a brother. After meeting Tiffany in the trailer park and realizing she’s his brother’s hidden wife and these are his nieces and nephews, Blake does what he always does, he throws money at the problem to make it go away.

Tiffany, in a desperate situation, takes the money Blake offers her, finally getting herself out of the trailer park and away from Phil. After trying to start her new life, Phil ends up finding her again and comes back to claim what’s his. Fleeing the apartment with the slippers on her feet and her ratty sweater, Tiffany makes her way up the mountain to where Annie lives. Annie has told her she was always welcome if she ever needed help. Unfortunately, Blake is at Annie’s Christmas party that’s in full swing when Tiffany pulls up for help.

Blake cannot believe she’s shown up here; after paying her off, he expected to never see her again. He deserves her anger and when he’s a bit too callous, Tiffany punches him! Blake finds there’s more to this scared little trailer rat, she has balls of steel!

There’s some perfect character strife between Tiffany and her husband’s brother. This arrogant man, who tried to pay her off to go away. Tiffany finds she’s very attracted to Blake and he seems more vulnerable that she ever thought possible; maybe, they both need saving.

This book contains some well written heartfelt angst, hurt feelings, and miscued moments between Blake and Tiffany that make a romance story great. You know, those groan worthy times where the character misunderstands or plays their feelings off while their heart is being stomped on. Blake is written very well, and steamed up the pages when the two did come together. I did find this book a bit on the wordy side (kind of like this review) and it may just be a bit longer than the story needed.

All in all, another very solid installment of the series.

The first three books in this series have been fantastic! I was sucked right into this world and the characters; add in romance, action, and hot erotica, and you have the recipe for the perfect series.

The fourth book in the Everything I Left Unsaid series was Tiffany and Blake's story. If you've read the previous books, you're familiar with Tiffany. Phil, her abusive husband and father to her three children, has left her destitute and hanging on by a thread. She's been cut-off from her own family and never accepted by his, she is doing everything she can to provide for her children while being terrorized by him.

Blake, on the other hand, has worked for every dime he's ever made and is proud of it. Proud and cocky, Blake has spent his entire life cleaning up his brother's messes. When he finds out his brother, Phil, has a wife and children. Blake does what comes natural and tried to BUY them away from his family (mother/sister).

As I said before, I like the characters in this series, but I found this book lacking. I just didn't feel the chemistry between Blake and Tiffany. Not to say I didn't like them, I can totally relate to Tiffany being a mom and trying to find herself. I just didn't feel like they (Blake and Tiffany) were acting as adults. They both never talked of their feelings, they hoped the other could guess what they wanted, which would be okay if this was a Young Adult book.

Overall, I love this series. The fourth book wasn't my favorite, but I did like watching Tiffany and Blake grow up and grow together. I had high expectations for their story and it was certainly HOT at times, but it was also frustrating and immature.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the fourth book in the series and I have enjoyed them all. I highly recommend that you read them in order, as the story is ongoing, although this concentrates on another couple to books one and two, and book three. Even though it was a while since I read the series, I was quickly re-immersed in the situation and delighted to be back.

Tiffany was a very sad character in the first books, and Annie so wanted to help; she gives rise to the first meeting between Tiffany and Blake. Blake has been sorting out his brother, Phil's messes for years – but never did he expect him to have a wife and children. Even less did he think of his brother as a perpetrator of domestic violence. That first encounter does not go well, but a year later, Blake has to rethink some of his assumptions, and cannot help but want to give Tiffany some support.

As the uncomfortable chemistry between them causes them both to rethink some of their previous preconceptions – about both themselves and each other – we get to watch a most unusual romance develop. Blake, whilst seemingly in control of himself, is indeed flawed; his reaction to Tiffany forces him to think about what he will do with his anger, and how he should deal with his brother in future.

It was addictive reading, thank you Ms. O'Keefe.

M. O’Keefe can remember the exact moment her love of romance began: in seventh grade, when Mrs. Nelson handed her the worn paperback copy of The Thorn Birds. It wasn’t long before she was filling up notebooks with her own story ideas, featuring girls with glasses and talking cats. Writing as Molly O’Keefe, she has won two RITA awards and three RT Reviewers’ Choice Awards. She lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband, two kids, and the largest heap of dirty laundry in North America. When she’s not writing, she’s imagining what she would say if she ever got stuck in an elevator with Bruce Springsteen.

Burn Down the Night by M. O'Keefe

A battle for control turns explosive as a beautiful con woman takes a bad-boy biker hostage in this edgy, seductive novel set in the world of Everything I Left Unsaid (“Toe-curlingly sensual.”—Katy Evans) and The Truth About Him (“Absolutely one-click worthy”—J. Kenner).

The only thing that matters to me is rescuing my sister from the drug-cooking cult that once enslaved us both. I’ve run cons my whole life, and I’ll use my body to get whatever I need. Max Daniels is the last connection I have to that world, the one person reckless enough to get involved. Besides, now that his brothers have turned on him, he needs me too.

The deal was supposed to be simple: a place to hide in exchange for rescuing my sister. Now he’s my prisoner. Totally at my mercy. But I’m the one captivated. Enthralled. Doing everything he asks of me until I’m not sure who’s in control.

We both crave the heat. The more it hurts, the better. But what if Max wants a different life now, to leave the game...to love me? I thought I knew better than to get burned. Now I’m in too deep to pull away. And the crazy thing is...I don’t want to.

5 awesome stars! This series has been fabulous! Awesome characters, dark and brooding alpha males, strong and crazy leading ladies. Absolutely loving each and every one! Joan is one crazy cookie. She's a stripper at the club where Max and his MC hang out and do their "business." They've been eyeing each other for months, but Max does not touch the strippers. Joan is searching for her sister, the one she left behind in the cult that Lagan controls. Joan needs Max to get to Lagan. Things go down at the club, a couple of bombs, and Max is dragged out by crazy Joan right into the mutinous hands of his MC "brothers" and the coup they plan on executing, literally, as in Max. Joan saves his life and "kidnaps" Max. Joan is a riveting character, many facets and layers there. She's been on the run and trying to do right by her sister for so long, she only knows how to punish herself. Max was one of the best MC characters I've read recently. He's cocky and hard but Joan is cracking his ice cold demeanor. I devoured this book cover to cover, breathless and excited page after page.

O'Keefe has my undivided attention.

Favorite line in this book...This is Max, to a tee! Love it!
"Joan sighed, like she was sinking into the touch. She sighed like she was letting go of something. I recognized that sound. Women had been making it for me since I was fifteen. Surrender."

Burn Down the Night is the third book in the Everything I Left Unsaid series and could be read as a standalone, but is better read in order. The main characters are different from the first two novels, but they are mentioned (and have important roles) in them.

This series has really impressed me, and this may be my favorite so far!
We met Joan in the first books, and she's played a major role in those stories, but did we ever really get to know her? NOPE! This is Joan's story. Be prepared to be shocked.
We've also already met Max, and pretty much understand his character. Again, be prepared to be shocked on the depth of his true character.
Together Joan and Max are humorous, exciting, unnerving, and frustrating – and then some.

I have to mention that I've read MANY, MANY stories of abduction – always a man kidnapping/holding a female, but I've never read it the other way around. What a great twist!!

If you've already started this series, you need to read this...if you have yet to read this series – NOW is a great time to start!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
I loved both the previous books in the series, and feel that this was just as good – even though the lead characters were previously side characters, they definitely deserved their story to be told. We also got a goodly amount of Dylan and Annie too. I would recommend that you read all three books in order – and ideally one right after the other. It has been a little while since I read the previous two and it took me a minute or two to get back in the groove. That said, when it did click, it all came flooding back.

Joan (aka Olivia) was such an enigma in the first books, yet we were sure she was good at heart. To find out just how her life has panned out, and just how much guilt one person can hold in, is really interesting – and once she has Max in her grasp, it is hot too. Often just mentally hot, but that is very effective at getting the reader into her head.

Told from both points of view, we benefit from knowing just how they both think and we get the chance to predict how decisions are going to affect the other. I love being so involved that I am both happy and disappointed when I am wrong! With a great underlying plot, as well as the relationship which is developing, this a really good read.

Thank you Ms. O'Keefe for giving us another installment with some great characters and a good story.

The Truth About Him by M. O'Keefe

For fans of Christina Lauren and Jodi Ellen Malpas comes the next novel in M. O’Keefe’s breathtakingly sexy series about a woman called into a journey of the heart, body, and soul.

We played our roles, told each other lies.

But now Dylan is no longer just a mysterious deep voice on the other end of the line. We’re face-to-face and our relationship is very, very real.

We still have secrets—but so much is crystal clear:

The thrilling danger.

The raw, naked desire.

The need to keep feeling the way he makes me feel. Forever.

Dylan is putting up walls, trying to keep me safe, but he can’t shut me out. He has seen my darkness and rescued me. Now it’s my turn, if only he will let me.

Starting where book one left off, we find Annie waking up to her abusive ex, Hoyt, standing over her. Hoyt wants Annie to come back to the farm and will stop at nothing short of dragging her back unconscious. But he didn't expect to find this newer version of his previously abused and docile wife! Annie is not going to go willingly. Thankfully Ben, her neighbor, decides to check on her and gets help. Unfortunately, things turn dark and Annie has to take justice into her own hands defending Dylan from Hoyt. Having both been survivors of having to kill a person, Annie and Dylan find solace in each other and a darkness within them both that soothes and ignites them. Dylan's old family issues and rogue MC brother threaten their happily ever after when his brother, Max, takes off, leaving Dylan to try to find him or pay the price.

Book two is just as good as the first and again, I was riveted to the story and the characters. I even fell for Max, the crazy MC outlaw brother! Really enjoying this series. Annie & Dylan tie up nicely in this installment, so I hope for more of Max in #3. Highly recommend!

I found the first book a revelation – it was so, so good – and it left us with a massive cliffhanger. Be warned – you need to read it before you read this book – no doubts about that at all.

Thankfully this book is also a fabulous read, and gives us another excellent story! The drama comes thick and fast, and hold onto your hats as things get very, very messy. It is immensely satisfying to watch the two leads develop and emerge from where they have been taking refuge. I love their way of communicating, the care that they show each other and the boiling passion which overtakes all rational thought...so hot, so sensitive and so easy to just keep turning the pages.

Thanks Ms. O'Keefe for a really good read. These two have made it onto my must reread pile, for when I want a strong story to back up the romance.

Shelby – ☆☆☆☆
Annie and Dylan's story continues in The Truth About Him – the cliffhanger totally left us hanging, but was QUICKLY resolved in book two of the Everything I Left Unsaid series.
High action, a touch of drama, and real emotions are explored.
Can these two grow from the pressures that have been placed upon them?

This was a fantastic follow up, many questions answered, and characters were fully developed. There are still some "ends to tie up," but overall I was very satisfied with this book.

Everything I Left Unsaid by M. O'Keefe

Fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde will be unable to resist this sexy, deeply intimate tale of a woman running from her past, and the darkly mysterious man who sets her free.

I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.

And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.

His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.

This book was so much better than I was expecting!
Annie is on the run – escaping an abusive relationship and figuring out who she really is. What she really wants from life...
Settling herself in, a mysterious phone rings and her world flips upside down.

Dylan, oh Dylan, is a scarred, mysterious, yet kind and compassionate man. Not one to let anyone get close, he finds himself enthralled with a certain innocent woman.

This story was exciting, it was thrilling, and it was sweet. The progression of their relationship was realistic and fun. The characters came through as genuine. I have so many questions, some links were formed, but I really need to read the second book in this series.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
...that was an unexpectedly fabulous read! The blurb enticed me, but the book was so, so much more! I have to read book two very soon, as I am in limboland!

This is ... it is a novel ... in the literal sense of the word, meaning ‘new.’ It is refreshingly different, and so, so good. It is intriguing, suspenseful, sexy, unputdownable. The attention to detail is fantastic, but not a word is unnecessary. The writing is tight, intense and alluring. Ms. O'Keefe you have excelled yourself.

I highly recommend that you read this book – but make sure you have no impending obligations, including sleep, because you will either ignore them, or be utterly distracted by your thoughts on this story. I am actually thinking about torturing myself by making myself wait to read the next book, as the suspense is somehow delicious. I have no doubt at all that I will be reading them both again, and again. – Yep, that good!

Kris – ☆☆☆☆☆
Fantastic first book! I thoroughly enjoyed the suspenseful thrill ride of Everything I Left Unsaid.

Annie, fleeing in the night from an abusive husband, lands herself in a small rural trailer park. She has a small bag & three grand to try to start a new life while hiding from her abusive ex. Finding a ringing phone in her new trailer home, Annie answers. She's forever changed by the sexy voice and dark chuckle of the man on the other end of the line. Dylan is mysterious, he's sexy, remote and withdrawn, but so intriguing Annie is drawn like a moth to a flame. Chemistry melts the pages as Annie bends to Dylan's demands and erotic requests.

I found O'Keefe's writing in regards to portraying a domestically abused woman so spot on I had to question if she'd been there herself. I was riveted to Annie's quest to become free, to be unafraid to live, and finding an independence she didn't know she could have. Dylan draws her out of her closed down & shut in persona and ignites the flame that drives Annie to find the strength to acquire real happiness. Absolutely wonderful plot, drawn out just enough to keep you guessing but not so much to annoy. I found myself unable to put this book down. Warning –  watch out for that cliff at the end. GROAN!!! But so, so good! Need book two ASAP! I think O'Keefe may be an author to put on my “watch for new releases” list!
