Driven by K. Bromberg

From New York Times Bestselling Author K. Bromberg comes an unforgettable series about lust, love, redemption, and healing...

Our paths should never have crossed.

Colton Donavan was arrogant, exuded that bad boy vibe, and embodied everything I never wanted. And yet all it took was one chance meeting, one mistaken identity, and one stolen kiss for me to know I hated him and desired him instantly.

My heart was healing. His soul was damaged. There’s no way we could work. But after one impromptu date, one little boy who needed help, and one Ferris wheel ride, pieces of my heart were lost to him.

And even though he wouldn’t let me in, I couldn’t walk away.

This is our story.
Our fight.
Our perfectly imperfect love.

So this is a book that starts out kind of predictable. Girl has issues, boy has issues, girl is rescued by boy and boy wants girl. However, this book turned into so much more.

While I am not a huge fan of insta-love stories – which is exactly how this one is set up – I found that Rylee make Colton work so hard. Despite their strange dialogue and less than stellar meeting, Colton and Rylee work very hard on making themselves better people throughout.

Colton is someone who is running from his past for one reason or another. You see hints of what he has endured and know that there was something very traumatic in his past. However, you never truly understand because he keeps everyone at arm’s length. He is somewhat of an enigma. Everyone is drawn to him, but he shuts himself away.

Then you have Rylee. She is also haunted by her past, but it's because of the loss she felt and the new feelings that Colton brings out in her. She feels like she's betraying her past, but doesn't want to lose out on her future.

The boys that Rylee cares for are also hilarious, resilient, and amazing. So, while the two main characters share a wicked chemistry, it's the other things in this story that make it amazing.

New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.

She’s a mixture of most of her female characters: sassy, intelligent, stubborn, reserved, outgoing, driven, emotional, strong, and wears her heart on her sleeve. All of which she displays daily with her family and friends where she lives in Southern California.

In 2013, K. Bromberg decided her part time job in accounting wasn’t cutting it and decided to try her hand at this writing thing. Since then she has written eleven novels, landing over half of them on the New York Times Bestseller’s list and all but one of them on the USA Today’s bestseller list. She’s also a Wall Street Journal bestseller and an Amazon pick for best romance of 2013.

Her most notable series has been the Driven Series, its spin-off novels and her standalone novel Sweet Cheeks.
