Denver's Calling by JJ Harper

When Denver’s long-term partner breaks up with him, he flees his life, his career, and his bright future as one of the country’s leading trauma surgeons. Ditching everything but his dog, Denver returns to the quiet town of Cooper’s Ridge and his parents’ ranch.

Leaving twelve years earlier, Denver knew he would never be accepted as a gay man in an unaccepting town. So, when he meets Kes—an old school friend—in the bar he owns, he is shocked to find him in an openly gay relationship. Something he never thought would happen here.

What surprises him even more is the instant, mutual attraction the three men have. Accepting a job in Kes’ bar, they dance around each other, wanting them but not believing he would ever fit in with a couple so obviously in love. But, they want him. And they are not prepared to let him go.

Denver takes a risk and accepts their offer of a night out, finding a side of himself he never knew existed. Not trusting himself to be enough for the two men, the desire blooming in him is unprecedented and he can’t deny it: he wants them as much.

He finds his life falling into place, all because of two men. Is it possible he found his forever in a place he never expected it?

Ruthie☆☆☆
3.5 stars of sexy trio

This is the first book in a series, and I am going to be adding the next one to my reading list. This is definitely a sexy read, with three men heating up the bedroom, and almost anywhere else they may find themselves!

I liked the storyline and the interwoven plots, although at times I found it to be a little disjointed. The ending, though, was super cute and may have resulted in a tear or two. I did have a bit of an issue with the changing voice – we get to learn about the thoughts of all three men, and at times, particularly early on, the scenes are repeated from a second viewpoint. This worked, although I was glad that it didn't run through the whole book. Partly this was because a number of issues were laboured already, and even further repetition would have caused me to reconsider continuing. But, as I mentioned, the chemistry between these guys is hard to ignore. So, I had to know whether they could iron out the issues and move forward together.

It is always good to read a new author and get a different slant on a romance, so I'm glad that I read Denver's Calling.

I'm Jess and live in the quiet Lincolnshire countryside in the United Kingdom with my husband and my dog.

I've been writing romance novels for over three years now and although I started of writing M/F edgy romance I have progressed on to M/M stories  as well.

My books all have an edge to them, sometimes it's suspense others it can be high drama, but all of them are highly erotic and have plenty of steamy scenes.
