“I’m surprised that you would admit that. Kind of lessens your odds.”

“You’re assuming this is a game. I’m too old to play games. Actually, they never interested me much. How about you?”

“Oh, games can be fun sometimes.”

“Tease!” Adam said with a chuckle and nipped her on the chin with his teeth.

Simone remembered her bad history with Cajun men and her resolution to avoid them in the future. “Um, I think it’s time to cut this flower in the bud. I am not going to do this again.”

“You’re going to give me the boot just because I’m Cajun?”

Simone is from Louisiana, Cajun country, and she has a thing for Cajun men. And it never ends well. After three failed marriages, she doesn't want anything to do with another Cajun man ever again. But when she meets Adam Lanier the sparks are instant. She tries to stay away from him and his Cajun brown eyes that seem to pull her in.

Adam is working with Simone's half-brother, Luc, and when she walks in his office, he is struck stupid. He can't talk much less think. He thinks it's just lust, but he is so wrong. After a marriage that was not what it seemed, he isn't interested in getting married ever again. He isn't even wanting a relationship, but he may be rethinking things along those lines with Simone.

This is the first for me from this author and this series and I really enjoyed it. It will have you laughing at any given time. What you think should be serious, but hey, why can't we laugh during some serious sexy times, it makes it better. I need to go back and read the rest of this series as soon as I get a chance.
