Run to You by Rachel Lacey Blog Tour

ONE LITTLE LIE. A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE.

Moments after meeting the most gorgeous guy ever, Gabby Winters promptly gets stung by a zillion yellowjackets and falls-not gracefully-into a stream. Yup, Ethan Hunter is trouble with a capital "hot," and Gabby definitely needs to keep her distance. Except in the small town of Haven, there's nowhere to hide from Ethan's sexy, infectious grin...and all the residents are conspiring against her.

At the center of the town's matchmaking is Ethan's grandmother, who's convinced their relationship is a done deal. Rather than break her heart, Gabby and Ethan find themselves cornered into pretending to be falling in love. The problem: there's serious sizzling attraction between them. And if this charade continues, they won't fool just the entire town – they might fool themselves too...

When Ethan awoke, sunlight was streaming through his window, and based on the tent in his sheets, Gabby was still on his mind. He closed his eyes and started counting backward from fifty, his morning tradition to relieve the pressure so that he could leave the bedroom without being indecent in front of Gram.

His dick was just starting to relax when his phone pinged with an incoming text. Welcoming the distraction, he reached over and grabbed it off the nightstand.

The text was from Gabby. Thinking about you this morning and hoping that problem we talked about hasn’t gotten too hard to handle.

She’d inserted a little winking emoticon at the end, followed by a sunrise and a tree. Morning wood. And yep, that problem had just gotten really hard again.

Killing me. He texted back.

That bad, huh?

Oh yeah, it was bad. Getting worse by the second.

I’d be happy to help you with it if you want to stop by… This was followed by several colorful hearts.

His poor cock ached at the thought. But… No can do. Gotta take Gram to an appointment.

Oh. Bummer.

No kidding. Gotta go.
Chatting with you is not helping the issue.

He thrust his phone back onto the bedside table and lay there, concentrating on the sounds of Gram moving around in the kitchen until his dick finally accepted defeat. Then he went down the hall and took a long, cold shower.

This was such a sweet and charming little romance for me. I didn't have any trouble getting into and finishing it in no time.

Gabby Winters is looking for a new place to lie low and escape the stress of a relationship gone bad. She finds herself holed up in a secluded cabin in the small mountain town of Haven. She knows she's being kind of an introvert, but so far it's working for her.

Ethan Hunter grew up in Haven after his strong and sassy grandmother took custody of him from foster care. He has a bit of a reputation that he is trying to overshadow with a new venture.

When Gabby gets stung by a ton of yellow jackets on Ethan's property, the gossip and matchmaking begins. One thing leads to another, and they find themselves in a complicated mess of feelings trying to sort a ruse from reality. Do they have real feelings, or is it all meant to just end?

I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice, well rounded romance for me. It had just the right amount of entertainment, humor, emotional depth, sexiness, and outside characters. I really loved Dixie, Ethan's grandmother.

I would recommend this to romance fans for sure and I will be looking for the next book!

This is a really lovely read – be prepared for a few tears, lots of chuckles, and a heartwarming romance. The whole town of Haven is full of interesting characters (which you may have met in the prequel novella which tells Carly and Sam's story), and Dixie is certainly one of them – so when she and her grandson, Ethan, find out the devastating prognosis, it is time to get the bucket list sorted. Ensuring Ethan is settled is most definitely on his list, but his Gram means everything to him, so he hatches a plan...having just met Gabby, and her being new in town and sworn off relationships, it seems the perfect solution to pretend...until it starts to feel all too real. In getting to that point we are treated to some really fun moments, and whilst this is a really sweet read, there are some serious issues discussed.

I am definitely going to be looking out for the next installment of the tales from Haven; thank you Ms. Lacey.
