This was a very good story. It was fast paced, intriguing, and the characters were fairly well developed. You knew where they were coming from, their backgrounds, and Price did a good job at laying what each character hoped for the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Quinn shake the tree that Asher so boldly stood by. She surprised him, intrigued him, tempted him, and he couldn't help but fall in love with her.

Asher is complicated, sexy, broody and a protector at heart. While he has demons from his past, he is trying very hard to overcome them. When Quinn shows up at his door, he can't simply turn her away, even though he knows it's a recipe for disaster.

Price writes a solid thriller. Although I figured it out almost as soon as could be with the mentioning of new characters, I still enjoyed the story a lot. There is no insta-love and Price did a great job at developing their relationship from prickly to friendship, trust to love. I will definitely seek more Price books out in the future.

Melynda Price is a multi-published author of contemporary and paranormal romance. What Price enjoys most about writing is the chance to make her readers fall in love, over and over again. She cites the greatest challenge of writing is making the unbelievable believable, while taking her characters to the limit with stories full of passion and unique twists and turns. Salting stories with undertones of history whenever possible, Price adds immeasurable depth to amazingly well-crafted books.

She currently lives in Northern Minnesota with her husband and two children where she has plenty of snow-filled days to curl up in front of the fireplace with her Chihuahua and a hot cup of coffee to write.
