All Note Long by Annabeth Albert

Giving true love a spin...

Michelin Moses is a country music star on the rise. With a hit single under his Texas-sized belt buckle and a sold-out concert tour underway, his childhood dreams of making it big are finally coming true. But there’s one thing missing—a promise to his dying mother that he’d find it—him—when the time was right. With a little luck, he won’t have to wait too long...

Lucky Ramirez is a hunky boy toy who dances at The Broom Closet, one of West Hollywood’s hottest gay bars. He loves what he does, and he’s good at it—almost as good as he is at playing dumb when he spots Michelin Moses at the bar. What happens next is off the charts—and keeps Michelin coming back for more. He’s just not sure it’s the right move for his career. But if Lucky gets his way, Michelin will get Lucky—and no matter how the media spins it, neither of them will be faking it

I have enjoyed this series from book #1 and All Note Long is no exception. Completely enjoyed Lucky and Michelin's story!

Michelin is a crossover country star who's very much in the closet. Nashville radio is a don't ask, don't tell kind of market. While Michelin mentors the guys from Stand Out and the other groups who are openly out, he's been warned by his label and his PR dragon lady assistant to keep it under wraps. Wanting to just enjoy his friends, he joins them at a notorious gay dance club where Lucky happens to be a go-go dancer. Lucky is assigned as entertainment for the private birthday bash Michelin is attending for the Stand Out guys and Michelin finds himself quite intrigued by Lucky's moves. A brief encounter between Lucky and Michelin is caught on cell phone by a fellow dancer and all heck breaks loose. Michelin is outed on social media in an instant and has to come to grips with the backlash of finally owning up to who he really is. Lucky tries to make things right, feeling guilty it was his work that outed Michelin and becomes his PR "boyfriend." Things get a bit too real for both of them where their hearts are involved.

I enjoyed the story very much and the pages flew by quickly. Highly entertaining series! I really like all the social media aspects and the reality show/talent show theme in this series, very fresh and current. Bring me #4!

So far the books in this series have been about contestants in the reality to music show – but not this one – here we have one of the mentors finally coming out into the open. Having been surrounded by his entourage and kept on the straight and narrow for a long time, Michelin is in a serious quandary about being in an honest relationship with a man.

Lucky may be thinking of changing his name after he first meets the man who he is later told is mega-star Michelin Moses, as his normality is thrown to the wind. Then events overtake them both, and the rest gives us the story, the potential for romance, and some very sweet moments.

It was a different take on the music business to the first two books, as Michelin has a career and followers already, but still the world of PR shone through! As things progressed and the relationship turned to romance it was nice to see the real man, though at times I'm not sure Michelin knew who he really was anymore either.
