One Last Fling by Leela Lou Dahlin

Event planner Daisy Maxwell has never been lucky at love, but her family’s financial issues convince her to toss her hat in the ring to be the Billionaire’s Bride. If all else fails, she figures she at least has a shot at planning the winner’s wedding. She never expects to meet a man—the wrong man—at the first event, a sexy chef who charms her and makes her believe there’s love at first bite.

Chef Ryder Blake has a problem…well, two. First, he’s met the most amazing woman at the best but worst time of his life. Daisy is a morsel of sexy and sweet all rolled into one dynamite package he’d love to sample. But his second issue is a little more complicated… He can’t tell Daisy—or anyone—he’s the secret billionaire seeking a bride before his thirtieth birthday or he’ll lose his inheritance. Daisy is definitely bride material, but he’s not sure he’ll survive the pressure, especially after she proposes one last fling before she plans to say “I do.”

Daisy Maxwell thinks she is out of her league, she is at the Millionaire's Match Up with her friend and her cousin. She was never one to look at marrying for money, but her family is in desperate need. Her sister, Rose, was the one that their mother always pushed to marry for money, that is, until Rose was hit by a drunk drive and now is in a wheelchair. So Daisy is left to take the plunge for the family. While at the Match Up, she meets the sexy chef, Ryder Blake and she would like more than his yummy food. He is easy to talk to and she can't believe how comfortable she feels being around him.

Ryder Blake has a problem, well two major problems. The first is he has found a woman that he wants to get to know better and to feed her because she loves to eat and it shows on her face. Her face is so expressive when she eats, that Ryder knows if she loves the food or not. And two is that he is not who she thinks he is and he can't tell her the truth or lose his inheritance.

Can Daisy have one last fling with Ryder before she might be chosen to be the Billionaire Bride? Will Ryder risk everything to tell her the truth? What will Daisy do when she learns the truth?

This is a first for me from Leela Lou Dahlin and I loved it. It will have you laughing and crying and leave you feeling all the feels it takes to make a great story. I look forward to reading more from her.

While this is my first story by this author, I can sincerely say I highly doubt it'll be my last. It was such a great story start to finish, top to bottom. There is a bit of angst as to what is going to happen and how things are going to work out for Daisy and Ryder.

I really enjoyed the way the characters learned each other and came close even though they weren't supposed to have this little romance. It came off as so much a fairy tale and love story. So sweet, but not sugary sweet, just perfect.

I can't say that I particularly liked Daisy's mother, but I can sort of see why she was the way she was...because of the Rose situation, not before it though. That irritated me, but there are truly people out there like that.

I hope next we get to know what on earth is going on with Hannah.

Great story, can't wait for more!!

I really liked this book. It such a nicely balanced happily ever after romance. It would be the exact thing I search for when looking for a light-hearted romance to entertain myself. I didn't expect that after reading the blurb as most "millionaire" romances I've read lately are gold-digger, fast paced, and somewhat empty, but this was the opposite. The author created nicely developed characters with Ryder and Daisy. Their chemistry was smooth and so sweet. I really enjoyed how they acted with their families too.

Overall, I enjoyed this read. I had no problem being entertained by and finishing this quick, easy read. I would definitely recommend it to my fellow happily ever after romance fans.

I really enjoyed this story – which was sweet, cheeky, sexy and managed to poke fun at both the haves and the aspiring-to-haves. It cleverly, however, created an environment where everyone was redeemed and the ending made everything right – which is, after all, what we all want, somehow or other.

This is an easy read, with a really nice writing style. Little touches like Daisy considering her name to be a common flower, whilst her sister must be superior as she is called Lily, add to the depth of the story, and make sense of some of the decisions that Daisy makes. She is a great foil to the other attendees at the event. Ryder plays his role very well, but by getting his inner voice, we get to understand that he is a good guy, something that could have been easily otherwise misinterpreted. Together they are delicious, and a good mix of sexy and sweet.

For a tasty chunk of escapism, I would recommend this to you. Thank you Ms. Dahlin.

At a young age Leela Lou Dahlin started reading the romance novels her grandmother left around the house during her summer vacations. She learned early that she enjoyed the type of story that could make you feel like you had fluttering butterflies in your stomach and bring tears to your eyes.

Leela tries to create the emotional and endearing stories she adored as a child and continues to love to this day. She resides in SW Pennsylvania working as a RN Case Manager during the day and spinning her sweetly sexy stories by night.
