Let me be honest, I had no idea what this story was about. The only thing I knew was Pepper Winters was its creator and I was on board!
This story was a serious adventure – it was a thrilling, scary, and beautiful story of survival, love, and acceptance.
Estelle Evermore is returning to Australia (home) from her US tour, unfortunately everything that can go wrong at the airport DOES. Once the signs add up, it's too late to back out and things just progressively get worse when her connecting flight in Fiji is temporarily delayed due to terrible weather.
Not wanting to wait another minute, she meets up with Galloway Oaks (also in a rush to get to his own destination), and a family of 4 who all decide that they can avoid the wait and find a private charter...
In an effort to NOT spoil the story, I will say that this is unlike anything I've read.
Emotionally gripping, this is really a story of basic human needs being met in any way possible.
Sometimes the very things we THINK we need are really only minor conveniences, and once our perception has been altered there is no turning back.
Pepper Winters is a New York Times and USA Today international bestseller. She wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex... her books have sex.
