Fly Me Home by Candi Wall

He needs her for one reason…but winds up wanting her for a hundred more.

Elizabeth McCarthy needs a scoop for her local newspaper, and the Fashion for the Future Ball is the perfect opportunity—until Murphy’s Law kicks in. But she’s saved from public humiliation by the last man she thought would notice her. Ultra-sexy fashion critic Ian Malcolm.

Ian is tired. Tired of playing games, tired of people letting him down. Elizabeth is a breath of fresh air he didn’t know he was missing. She even makes him laugh. On impulse, he makes her an enticing offer: she gets the story she needs, and he gets a sexy companion to keep the media vultures off his back.

It’s a business deal. Easy as pie. Yet as their association takes them around the world, Ian remembers what it’s like to experience everything for the first time—and fills Elizabeth’s neglected bag of sexual tricks to the brim.

Once the whirlwind trip is over, though, they’re left with one unexpected hunger left unsatisfied—the hunger for something more lasting than lust.

Warning: Contains a sweet country girl steeped in small-town values, and a big-city man who doesn’t hesitate to guide her through his bisexual and ménage-a-licious world of sinful pleasures.

What happens when you take a country girl and a big city fashion reviewer and toss them together? An unexpected and lust filled month of seeing the world through each other’s eyes.

Liz is trying to get a scoop for the local paper about the hometown boy done good by becoming a star in the modeling world. What she can't seem to catch is a break. Until she's spotted by Ian.

Ian's wondering just what this woman wants and is refreshed by her honesty when she admits she's there to get an interview with one of the models. Ian invites her to be his guest for the evening and in return she'll have to act like they are an item to keep the tabloid press at bay and he will get her the interview she needs.

Unforeseen circumstances lead to an interesting proposition for Liz: be Ian's companion for the next month and he will make sure she gets what she needs to hold on to her job. Taking a chance, Liz agrees, because hey – it’s not like there will be sex involved since Ian's gay, right? Wrong, Ian's bisexual and causes all sorts of fantasies to fire right up in Liz's mind.

During the course of their time together, Ian and Elizabeth get closer than either intended and parting is more than just sweet sorrow, it’s agony for them both. Only time will tell if they can find a common ground between Big City and County Girl.

STRONG 4.5 STARS
I really, really enjoyed this lovely story of pure escapism. This has to be many young women's idea of a perfect dream. An über wealthy and influential man offers the trip of a lifetime, with an enlightening education along the way. Together they are hot, and steamy, yet cute and (unintentionally romantic) too – add in the seemingly forbidden and Elizabeth is one lucky lady. I could have read lots more of this book, as the characters were fun, and desirable and the outcome was just right.

Delicious, definite cheer-me-up reread material. Thank you Ms. Wall.

Candi Wall is probably the only person whose real name is more epic than any pseudonym she could have come up with – even as an author! She writes because the voices in her head have to come out somehow. Animal rescue-ess, mother of four, and soccer mom by day, she spends her free time writing – often on napkins at kids’ games because she never knows when a juicy story will reveal its delicious self. She once wrote a sex scene at a wrestling meet. Shhhhhh!

Her favorite sayings are, “There is no greater seduction than the written word…” and “What’s sexy? It’s that short, staggered breath the second before your lips meet in a first kiss…”
