Tank is a book that would sit just as well in the horror genre as it does in romance. The warnings that come with the books cannot be stressed enough. This story contains graphic violence against adults, children and animals. It also includes sexual violence and drug taking.

With that out of the way I enjoy horror novels and having the unconventional love story wound in worked well for me. Drugs and horror from her past threaten Ivy's existence. This is the story of the fight for Ivy's life. Love and kindness from Tank, even though Ivy doesn't want it, give us hope in the darkness and also gives her strength. This was a book I couldn't put down even through some horrific scenes, but I came out at the end feeling empowered. Although I won't be at all surprised if Tank gives me nightmares.
