Discovering Delilah by Melissa Foster Blog Tour

After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents’ beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend, Ashley, are stronger than anything she’s felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.

Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn’t out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.

When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah’s whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn’t as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents’ death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.

Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.

Veronica☆☆☆
This is a good story of two young adults coming together. Delilah is in the closest and getting over the death of her parents while Ashley is out and is getting over a bad relationship. While they want to be together they both have baggage that causes problems.

The story explores her parents’ apparent disapproval of the fact that she is a lesbian and why they might have thought that way. I thought this was well done and I like the way the story dealt with Delilah's guilt over her parents’ death and her sexuality.

Discovering Delilah is a lovely f/f romance. I really felt the connection between Ash and Dee as both friends and lovers. The scenes where they come together physically melted more than my heart. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is the second in the series, and another great read. It would not be essential to read the first book, but it is definitely an advantage (and a good story anyway!).

Ms. Foster presents a compelling story about a young woman who has been struggling for a long time with her knowledge that her parents would not approve of her being gay. Now that they are dead, she cannot shake the guilt, yet so wants to move forward and be whole in every way. Thanks to the support of her friends and the interest of one particular woman, she embarks upon a difficult but eventually fulfilling journey of release. I thought that it was really well done, and the passion as well as the romance played out brilliantly. I cannot wait to read future stories and watch this relationship develop as it surely will. Lots of thoughtful moments, plenty of heat and a wonderful community of friends.

I recommend that you give Harborside Nights a place on your Kindle – and quite possibly your heart.
