Noah and Clark's story is dual point of view. It switches between past and present with Noah narrating the present, and Clark the past.
In the past we learn Noah has issues at home in the form of a homophobic family, while Clark is taking care of his dying mother. In the present Noah has lost his memory of the past three years and wakes up from an accident asking for Clark.
This is a lovely, well written, romantic tale where love conquers all. Another great story from Ms. Cardeno C.

Home Again starts with Noah being in the hospital and just waking. He doesn't know where he is or why? Or the fact that he can't remember the last three years of this life. The only thing he does know is that he needs to see his longtime partner.
I love the past/present aspect of this one. You get to see what led up to them being in their relationship and why things happened like they did.
Noah was a rebellious teen, he did everything he could to defy his parents. Ben, his brother, was the good son, the athlete, always looking for approval from his parents. The two were like night and day. When Clark moved to the city the brothers lived in he became fast friends with Ben. When Clark first laid eyes on Noah he knew something in his life had shifted but he didn't know what until years later. There was a four year age gap and at the time it was a big deal.
"It's not illegal to be friends with someone younger than you. What's illegal is sticking your poker in his fire."
What happened in those three years? Will Noah remember? Can they move on from it?
I do enjoy all things Cardeno C. and I am pretty sure every read outdoes the one before it. I have my favorites but I haven't come across a bad one yet!

I am an ardent fan of Cardeno C.'s work, so was delighted to read this series re-edited for 2015. Never have I been disappointed, the story-lines are delightful, the men are scrumptious and the writing is engaging. As you will find as you read through the series, the stories interlink, but each one is perfect on its own too. They give us the long view of these relationships, which is refreshing in the insta-love world that has emerged.
These guys, and often their friends and their families, become people whose behaviour we can predict and their foibles and desires become known to us. That raises the level of engagement with the plot and investment in the eventual outcome.
Noah and Clark, a relationship that has grown over years, and yet we know there is an issue ... slowly it is teased out in words, actions and eventually the reveal. It jumps from past to present a lot, so I do recommend that you can read it in decent length chunks, or it could get confusing.
