Rachael – ☆☆☆☆
This is the conclusion of the Chris/Sarah story, which we've been following along for the last couple books. I was happy and sad to see the end. There is much left in the air and leaves me wondering where the next novella/novel is going to go since we know it is Mark/Crystal for both.
Chris and Sarah's relationship is yet again tested in new ways as we learn more about what happened to Rebecca and the story that initially led Sarah into Chris's life. I loved seeing how much they've grown from how they both handled stressful and bad situations from the first book to this one, coming to now rely upon each other more than ever before.
I will say this wasn't a five star for me because we still have no idea what is going on with Ella, which is frustrating as it was hinted at in the very end of the last novel. The situation with Rebecca is still not resolved, which oddly was not as slow and dragging on as the last novel was. I enjoyed this book more than the last one as we got to know some of the characters we already know (like Ralph and Ryan) a bit more and I anticipate we will be seeing Ryan more in Mark's book as things come to a conclusion.
Can't wait to see where the rest of the story goes.

Chris and Sara arrive back in San Francisco to the storm surrounding the police investigation into the disappearance of Rebecca and everyone is a suspect. Media interest in the story turns the lives of our characters upside down.
At this point in the story line I felt that Chris and Sara's relationship was more stable but they continue to have ups and downs as they grow. We watch Mark try to cope with fallout of his own actions and it is fascinating, especially given what we learned about Mark from reading My Hunger.
Many of our questions are answered but there is still more to learn.

This is the fourth book in the series. This book continues Sara and Chris’s story, we have some answers to some previous questions in the story line but now we have a few more questions too. I was hoping everything would be tied up all nice and neat with a bow at the end of this book but that wasn’t the case. There are still things to get to and I can’t wait to read the next book, I read the entire series and all the novellas in three days and it is going to kill me to wait for the last books to come out! This is a must read as is all the other books in this series. There is love, lust, mystery, suspense and many questions that you will be dying to find the answers to!

I have to say, this book renewed my interest in this series!! After the last 2 installments of this series, I was becoming a bit disenchanted - BUT this book, was just - WOW!
Sara and Chris returned home to San Francisco to provide testimony to the police in regards to Ava's bail hearing. This is the start of the proverbial excrement hitting the fan.
AND it just keeps picking up steam, if you will. Twists and turns abound, questions are answered - and I feel some resolution has been accomplished in the Chris/Sara story.
No longer are their secrets interrupting their growth together. Their love story is by no means perfect, but they've overcome many obstacles and it's beautiful.
All of the "regular" characters make an appearance in this story, some good - most bad - and again, I'm questioning everything I thought I knew.
When one resolution occurs, another question is brought up!
This book was exciting, it was sweet, it was an "edge of my seat" ride until the end.
I fear for both Mark and Ella, and really, REALLY want to know what happens next.
