Her Dom by A.D. Justice Blog Tour

My name is Dominic Powers. My software engineering company, DPS, is one of the top 500 companies in the world. Conducting a search for my Personal Assistant brought an unexpected candidate straight to me.

I knew she was different as soon as she walked into my high-rise office. She exuded innocence and inexperience. Those are two things in a woman that normally don’t attract me, but I am apparently making an exception for her. She’s young and delicate – and I’m afraid she won’t make it in my world.

But the carnal man I’ve kept hidden deep inside me says I have to try.

She is my Sophia Vasco.

I am Her Dom.

The underlying story here is good - but there are some significant inconsistencies, which for the stickler in me made me annoyed. The main one is Sophia being 23 and yet having so much business experience. Later in the book we learn more about her past, and the beginning of the story seems to have been completely forgotten. I won't mention other elements, as they could be spoilerish. Maybe the truth will become clearer in book 2 - but currently it rankles.

I liked Tucker and Shadow; they brought a lot to the story, because they interacted with the main characters, but no one else is brought to life. The whole story is told from his point of view, which means that we know very little of how she is thinking ... until the very end.

I liked this book but a few things just seemed off for me. The age of Sophia and how she has so much work experience didn’t match. Then another instance in the book when she didn’t react to something at the time and later we find out she should have that was odd too. Maybe it will be revealed in the next book why. There were a few other things but overall I liked the book. I liked Dominic and I loved his family, his parents were amazing. I loved Tucker; hope he gets his own book and Shadow too. In the one scene where Shadow was trying not to laugh I just couldn’t help but crack up, big huge guy, holding in his chuckle LOL. I will say when the book finally got really flipping good it ended in a cliffhanger and I was pretty ticked! I can only hope the next book is out soon and we get some answers! I love Dominic and want to see what happens!

Characters: I loved the secondary characters and hope they get their own books in the future.
Sex: Oh yeah and you will never look at cupcakes the same again.
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: BDSM/Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

Dominic is a successful, powerful business man. He has been on a hiatus from having a sub for 18 months. He has his reasons and isn't looking for a new one.

Sophia walks into his life and changes everything. She is a natural sub, who was trained by a cruel man. Although she is there for the position as his assistant, she ends up becoming so much more.

She makes Dominic want to be Her Dom. Makes that side of him that he's tried to keep hidden for so long come out.

The book was quite good to me. I liked Sophia's character as she adjusts and grows with her relationship with Dominic. I think what kept me from giving it 5 stars is I expected more D/s type romantic situations, but mostly they were talked about instead of acted upon in Dominic's head.

It was still a well written book and I can't wait for the next installment of the story to see where it goes!

A.D. Justice's debut novel is Wicked Games, A Steele Security Novel. It is the first of a five book series. The second book in the Steele Security Series is Wicked Ties. It continues the story exactly where Wicked Games ends. Each book is designed as a stand-alone from a character perspective, but reading from the beginning will give the reader a better sense of how the characters are connected. The premise of the series is based on a group of elite soldiers and their adventures with Steele Security.

A.D.'s second series is the Crazy Series and Crazy Maybe is the first book. It is not for the faint of heart - complex, real-life issues are addressed, with several twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages until you've devoured the whole book! This series will also continue with more emphasis on the supporting characters.

The third series is Dominic Powers. The first book, Her Dom, is now available. Her Dom gives a fresh, new, and realistic look at how a Dom/sub relationship really is, with the addition of a few twists, turns, mystery and intrigue. The second book in this series will be available in October 2014.

A.D. Justice has been married for 25 years and has two wonderful sons in college. She is also an avid reader of romance novels and, to her amazement, a self-published author. A.D. enjoys reading many different types of romance books - including drama and suspense, crime and mystery, NA and YA, and contemporary and erotica.
